Director's Welcome Letter
Hello. I'm Marcia Barker, Founder and Director of Adoption Information Services. Thank you for visiting our site.
At AIS, we offer HOPE for anyone who wants to adopt a child. Amidst the confusion of so much information, we can help make sense of it for you. It is our goal to educate you about how you can accomplish the adoption of the child of your dreams. Follow our system and do not give up, and you will be able to adopt a newborn! In fact, the only families we work with who do not adopt are those who give up.
The AIS system helps to jump start your adoption process by quickly recommending agencies and/or adoption attorneys who can best meet your individual needs as you make your way through the adoption maze. We work nationwide, primarily through states where the law is most favorable for you. This ensures our clients have safe adoptions. And, since we are not affiliated with any adoption agency or attorney, you can rest assured that we represent only you throughout the entire process. Our careful guidance gives you the knowledge that your gift of a child is just around the corner.
In this site, we hope to make you more comfortable with the adoption process by answering some of the most commonly asked questions and providing links to helpful resources online and offline.
You see, at one time I was in your position-unable to fulfill the dream my husband and I had to have a baby. Unfortunately, the road to our goal was fraught with pitfalls, dead-end streets, confusion, and what seemed like an interminable wait.
I have now made it my life's work to help others who have suffered the heartbreak of being childless or being unable to add to their families. Over the past 20 years, I have helped over 2,000 families (couples and singles) to find the child they were meant to have.
My goal is to keep you from going through this process "blindly" as I did more than 20 years ago. Instead, I will use what I learned to gently guide you through what can be a complicated and time-consuming procedure. AIS can decrease your wait, minimize your frustration, and reward you in the end with your objective-a beautiful child!
