Getting Started

How do I get started with AIS?

• Register for a group information seminar or request an informational DVD.
• Complete the Confidential Adoption Questionnaire.
• Schedule an individual consultation to discover your best direction for adoption based on your personal situation.
• Receive your personalized adoption plan during your second consultation, guidance on home study, critique of your "lifestyle presentation" profile with pictures, etc.

Begin the Adoption Journey:

• Call to make an appointment. (800) 733-1508
  Appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern.
• Complete application and submit $400 fee to hold your appointment. This will be applied to the total flat fee of $2,800.
• During your initial meeting an adoption consultant will guide you in determining a direction for your adoption plan.
• The second meeting is usually scheduled two weeks after the first. At this meeting you will be presented with several options to match your individual needs. Your lifestyle presentation (birthmother letter) is critiqued.
• Choose placement sources, finalize lifestyle presentation, complete home study and wait for the call!

The service fee includes two private counseling sessions along with phone and e-mail contact through the first twelve months of the process.

For your convenience, the $2,800 service fee is payable in three installments:

• $400 application fee due prior to first appointment
• $1200 paid at first appointment
• $1200 paid at second appointment
